Enough Already!

So a few funny things have happened the last week or so that I just had to post about so I wouldn't forget. Like I could but I want to anyway.

First off, last Sunday Brian locked the keys in the car. He found an ad for a locksmith in Kaysville who would only charge $30 to come unlock the car. No extras for it being a weekend. So he called the guy and he said he was on his way. An hour and a half later, he shows up, takes two seconds to unlock the car, then hands Brian a $140 bill. Brian was very upset and shocked, obviously, because this was much more than he said it would be. Well, Brian called the guy's boss and gave him a talking to ;) But the guy wouldn't budge. He said he had the right to have certain fees and that there was no way to get out of them. So we ended up paying the whole amount and it REALLY ticked me off. I was not happy because the guy cheated us. It was so dishonest. I HATE people like that.

Anyway, next thing. Our registration for our Jeep was up the end of March. We knew this but couldn't register it until we got paid. Well, I threatened Brian to not speed or doing anything wrong while driving so that he wouldn't get pulled over and get a ticket for the registration. Well, I got pulled over Wednesday coming home from a meeting. I was driving up our street and there was a cop. I thought I'd be fine because I wasn't speeding and there was no way he could see my license plate right? Well, he did and obviously put it into his computer or something. He pulled me over, right in front of our neighbors' house. I was a little embarrassed to say the least, especially when one of our neighbors drove by and laughed at me. Anyway, the cop says, "You know what's funny? I never patrol this street, let alone look at registration." Ya, I thought it was hilarious! He gave me a ticket and went on his way. I was seething! I had never been pulled over, ever and the first time had to be for registration? Honestly!

Enough of all my venting and on to funner things. Ethan is such a talker now. He can say so many words and he actually knows what they mean. Its so fun to see him learning and growing so fast. He is my sweet angel baby and I love him so much! He fell asleep in his highchair for the first time ever today. He was eating a piece of cheese and being extremely quiet. I looked over at him and he was asleep but still chewing. Holy cow! I had no idea he was that tired. He had been cranky all morning but I thought it was because of his teeth. Nope, just SUPER tired apparently. Love that kid!

That's all I can think of right now. I told you this kid can talk! I love it. Such a stud.

Our Easter Weekend

Was great. It was full of tons of fun things and sadly, I didn't get any pictures. I believe my brother did though so I'll ask him for them and post them as soon as I get them. So Friday we headed down to my mom's and spent the whole weekend there. Later that night, we had my sister, Heidi's, baby shower. It was so fun to see everyone, including all our cousins who we never see, except at these gatherings. She got tons of super cute stuff and I'm really excited to meet little Maddi!

Saturday was also very fun. In the morning, I got to see my dearest, most sweetest friend Jacque. I love her to death. She made it possible for me to display some blocks I made. Thanks, Darling. I love you!! We then met up with some of our friends, Braden and Skyler Norton, later that evening. I absolutely love those two. They are such great people and so much fun! We seriously can't get enough of them. Its too bad we live so far apart. We went to dinner and bowling. Ethan has never been bowling and wasn't the happiest kid there. He got three of his first molars within a few days of each other so that explains it. But we had fun despite our ornery child. I hope the Nortons still want kids after seeing how "pleasant" ours can be ;) We love you guys!

Sunday was spent at my mom's for breakfast, my dad's for the last half of the Sunday morning conference session, and the afternoon at my brother's house. Ethan had so much fun at Jason's. They had an Easter egg hunt for all the kids and this was Ethan's first one! He mostly got the concept of it. He ran to an egg and would squeeze it till it would open and candy would go everywhere. He's been really good at cleaning up lately so we told him to clean up the eggs. He then started to put them in his basket and had so much fun chasing after all the eggs to "clean up".

But even for all the fun of the weekend, we still were able to remember the real reason for all the candy and celebration. We are so grateful for our Savior and the sacrifice He made for us. The Atonement is such a wonderful blessing in our lives. We don't know where we would be without the knowledge we have of the gospel and our Savior. I love Easter weekend and all it represents and can't wait to teach Ethan about it!
