Secondly, it was Father's Day. Happy Father's Day to the best father in the whole world, my wonderful husband. He is the best father. Period. Ethan idolizes him like none other and I can see why. He is always playing with him, taking him outside (which is Ethan's favorite place), cares for him, and loves him so much more than he ever thought possible. Love you babe! We had a great weekend. We headed down to Layton to go swimming with my dad and my whole family. It was a blast. There are so many of us, it was so fun. Then Sunday, we hung out with Brian's family and had some yummy desserts and just had fun. Ethan loves to play with his cousins and he just had a blast all weekend.
This week, Brian has scout camp. He left today and won't be home until Saturday. It'll be a long week but I'm excited for him to get away and have some fun. He definitely deserves it. Brian's been doing a lot of work on our house the last little while. He added a back splash to our kitchen and master bath. He also covered our plywood step in our sun room with carpet, painted the garage and has been working hard in our yard. He has been working so hard and been so stressed he definitely needs a break from the real world.
Also, Tara had her baby. Natalie Ann Stevens was born yesterday morning. She weighed 5 lbs 7 oz and was 17 inches long. She was 4 1/2 weeks early and she's doing great so far. She will probably still be in the hospital for another week or so but she's not on oxygen and breathing all on her own. She's a cutie! She has Turner's Syndrome which has been a roller coaster ride for Tara this whole pregnancy. The doctors kept telling her to prepare to lose the baby, to give birth to a stillborn if she made it that far. Well, she made it to 35 1/2 weeks, alive and well. She is super adorable. A side effect of Turner's is a bad lymphatic system or drainage so she's really swollen right now and you can tell just moving her hurts her. Its so sad! But its so good to have her here, well and healthy. Congrats to Tara and Mason! We'll pray everything continues to go well and you can bring your baby girl home soon!
