Our 4th of July

Was pretty much perfect. We didn't have any set plans and we loved it. Friday we had Brian's mom over for dinner. She is such a great person to be around. Thanks for coming over, Lorie! After we put Ethan to bed, we tried to watch the Logan fireworks from our neighbors' back porch. Unfortunately there were a few trees in the way but it was still fun to chat with them. Saturday, we hung out with Brian's brother and his family, made homemade pizzas and did our own little fireworks show. It was so fun to see how excited the kids got. When we got home, our neighbors up the street were putting on an awesome fireworks show. They buy the illegal ones and it was so great! So much better than the night before. We just watched from our driveway. So cool!

Sunday, we headed to church and pretty much just chilled the whole day. It was so nice to not have a super busy weekend with a thousand things to do. It made the whole holiday very enjoyable. Monday we took Ethan to see Toy Story 3. I got two free tickets to the movie when I bought the other two on DVD earlier this year and it was fantastic. I really liked the movie and Ethan did great, most of the time. He's still a little too young to sit through the whole thing but he enjoyed what he watched.

Tuesday Brian started his new job. That's right folks! Brian got a job! It is so exciting for us because we were thinking it would be forever until he could find a good job. Nope, only two weeks. Anyway, he's now a salesman for a heating and air company called Hustad Mechanical. He's really excited about it too because it has a lot of potential and the people there are great. They were really excited to have him come work with them and that makes Brian even more excited, which makes me happy :) All in all, a very good week for us.
