The last month has been insane! We had a wonderful 24th, celebrated by watching a parade (Ethan's first) with Brad, Missy and Abbi. It was a lot of fun but Ethan did get scared a few times, surprise surprise! Then we went and celebrated our nephew, Noah's, birthday and had a blast there.
A few days later, it was my birthday. My sister Laura made me dinner and brownies with homemade ice cream. It was so yummy and great to not have to make dinner on my birthday. Thanks Laura!
The next weekend, we went camping with my family. We headed up to Cinnamon Creek on a very rainy Friday night. It rained the whole night, which made sleep impossible but fun nonetheless. Saturday we spent just hanging out, which was nice. We had a run-in with a rattlesnake. I really wish I had gotten on camera my two brothers-in-law who took care of it. Robert had a huge rock he kept throwing at it and Steve had a shovel he kept trying to chop the head off with. He finally did and they kept the rattle for a trophy I guess. Then when my other brother-in-law Casey came back, he suggested they fry up the snake and eat it for dinner! Sick I know but they did. It was quite the adventurous day :)
This week, August 11th, we had our 20 week doctor's appointment. Baby looks fabulous and is growing right on schedule. And as most of you know, IT'S A BOY!! We're so excited. Brian has said from the beginning he knew it was a boy so he was pretty proud when he found out for sure. I'm really excited to have two little boys so close in age. Hopefully they will be best buds.
That night we celebrated Clint's 2nd birthday. Speaking of Clint, Tara was able to bring Natalie home a couple weeks ago. She was six weeks old to the day when she finally was able to come home. Mother and baby are doing really well. Natalie is still healing from her surgeries but hopefully will be better real soon. We're so glad to have them home!!
Later that same night, we headed over to our friends, the Picketts, to celebrate Carlin's birthday. We are almost exactly two weeks apart in age and are very similar is pretty much everything else. I love that woman! Happy birthday Carlin!
I know this is a long post but sorry, no pictures. Next time, I promise. Until then, I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer!
