Our Lives As Of Late

So its been awhile. And a lot has happened, once again. Christmas, New Years, sickness, work stuff, school stuff. Life is busy here.

We'll start with Christmas. It was a very enjoyable year. I was extremely spoiled by my husband, um I mean, Santa. I got an iPod Nano with arm band for running, a Nook Simple Touch and a bedroom set. Total surprises! Except the Nook. I purchased that myself. The bedroom set was from Ashley and we had looked at it when we got the bunk beds for the boys but decided against getting it, even though it was SUCH a good deal. Well, Brian got it anyway! I love it. It's so pretty and I love that it smells new. What a wonderful husband I have.

The boys were so cute. They loved opening the gifts they got until Ethan got a little reader, then he was finished. All he wanted to do was check that out. Brayden, of course, was all about the wrapping paper. But he definitely enjoys his new toys. He also started walking the day after Christmas and it took him about a week to get the hang of it. He is a pro and loves to wobble around :)

I got Brian a few little things, new ties, shirts, and a book. But the gift I was so excited about was tickets to a Red Sox game. In Boston. We have been talking about going back for a while but haven't had the time or money to do so. So I decided that we were going, whether we could or not. We would make it a priority to go on vacation this year and what better place then Boston! He was totally surprised and I have a video of his reaction. I love watching it because you can just see the surprise and pure joy when he realizes what it is. I can't wait!! We are going in May and it can't come soon enough!

New Years Eve was low key and I loved it. Ethan and Brayden both got sick so we decided to stay home. Brian's parents and sister came over to play games and watch a movie and the ball drop. They are so much fun to have around. One great thing about being back in Cache Valley! We love being so close to them again. Unfortunately, New Years Day, both Brian and I got sick. Then the next day, Emily got it. Then Lorie got it. I felt so bad! Then Brayden got a really bad cough, and Ethan got a bad cold. But we have all gotten over all the wonderful bugs that have been going around, for now. Hopefully it will stay that way for awhile.

Brian has been super busy with work and school. He is LOVING his job. He is doing so well and just enjoys the work so much. Which is awesome! He has been doing a lot with school too, which is great but busy. He loves to learn so its fun for him. I am so proud of him for how hard he works for us. And so grateful he does. He is such an amazing husband, father and person. I love you, babe. Thank you for allowing me to stay home with my boys!

Brian's Grandpa Harding passed away the middle of December. Brian went down to Myton with his brother for his funeral. I wish I could have gone but our boys were sick. Brian said it was a very unique funeral and he loved it. A very 'Harding' funeral, he called it. Everyone shared stories of Legrande then headed over to Howard's for dinner. Howard has a very cool house, which he has built out of shipping containers. I know, right? Awesome!

This last week has been a rough one for me. My grandmother had to have emergency surgery on her stomach a couple weeks ago and it didn't go well. She was 88 and the surgery just took whatever she had left. She passed away Thursday, the 2nd. It breaks my heart to have her gone and I have shed many tears this week. But it is such a great thing at the same time. She has been in so much pain for such a long time that it is nice to have her at peace. And she is finally reunited with my grandpa, who passed away almost 15 years ago. She has missed him so much in the time they had apart. It is so wonderful they are with each other again. I am so happy for her. Again, many tears shed thinking of the reunion they had. I love her so much and will miss her tremendously but she is where she wants to be, which makes me so happy.

I apologize for the length with no pictures but I am being lazy and don't want to upload the pictures right now. That will be a whole other post.

I miss grandma so much! I am looking forward to the funeral especially knowing that her and grandpa will both be there in Spirit. Love you!
